Vacationing in Heraklion, Crete

Heraklion was a welcome break from the frozen European cities we’d been visiting in the thick of winter. After Zermatt’s -20C, being this far South was quite heavenly. Although it wasn’t beach weather, we still enjoyed ourselves strolling around the ancient city and enjoying the fantastic Greek food. After all, if Bourdain thought it was worth a visit, who are we to argue?
