Penne Cole's thoughts on food, travel and more
Don’t let his woebegone look fool you. Leo may have the saddest eyes a dog could have, and jowls that perpetually droop into a pout, but this is not a deprived puppy.
Nope, this is one pampered pooch. He’s got toys a-plenty, including his beloved Pingu that he’s been coveting for years, and finally got as a Christmas present. Pingu is a stuffed toy, not meant for rough play with dogs, but Leo is surprisingly gentle with it, and Pingu is in good, if slightly scruffy condition today.
Leo is so pampered that he has a couch for a bed (albeit the cheapest couch available in Ikea), and a sheepskin rug to sleep on too. He gets to spend most of his time indoors (a dream come true for him) rather than get booted out of the house when no one his home. He also gets three walks a day, and always gets the rind off my bacon.
