Exploring the roads of Bagan

On the road: Bagan

It’s Valentine’s’ Day and I’m clinging on to my boyfriend. Not in a particularly amorous way, mind you – I was just trying to stay on my perch on the little electric scooter as we navigated the small dusty roads of Bagan.

Electric scooters are the best way to see the thousands of tiny temples scattered in and around Bagan. Hire a scooter for about $8 a day, grab a map from any of the hotels, and off you go. Make sure that the scooter is fully charged and try to stay out of the soft sand – that really drains your battery (as we found out the hard way).

For more tips on Bagan, check out this post.

This post was inspired by the Weekly Photo Challenge: The Road Taken.
