We Sydney-siders are very blessed to have so many beautiful parks around. In these crazy times, when one of the 16 valid reasons to leave your house is to get some exercise, today I’m grateful that we have so many great parks near us.
One of our favourite things to do when Leo was still with us was to take him for a lap of the riverside path. On hot days, there was a spot where he could splash in the river too – something that he loved to do.
Nowadays, we take our daughter to the park. She is just as fascinated with the water as Leo was. We are really lucky to have an amazing park with plenty of wide open space for our daughter to run around within walking distance of our house.
To be honest, if it wasn’t for our daily trips to the park (carefully avoiding any playground equipment lest she have a temper tantrum), I would go ever so slightly insane. Getting out of the house every day, even if it’s just for a slow walk around the neighbourhood, is definitely instrumental in keeping both of us sane.
What are you grateful for today?

I agree, my dog and I live for our morning walk and afternoon. Exercise at our dog park.
Awww I miss the days of having a dog. They are always so joyful running in the park.
