Penne Cole's thoughts on food, travel and more
As we sit down to dinner – more often than not at the coffee table in preparation for whichever Netflix series we are hooked on at the moment – Leo the boxer is sure to be underfoot. He waits patiently in anticipation, somehow managing (for once) not to drool as we set down our dinner – a salad topped with steak, apple, pine nuts, bocconcini and a honey mustard dressing.
Eventually, he will get tired of waiting and go back to his couch, where he will lie despondently until we call him for dinner. If he’s lucky, he will get some scraps from our meal, and if he’s been a really good boy, he might even get some meat!
