Hi 🙂
My name is Penne Pullen and I’m a management consultant by profession. I started this blog when I took a year off from work to finish my Masters in Business Administration in France. I loved living in Europe and took advantage of every travel – and eating! – opportunity I could find.
I’m a fairly restless globetrotter. So far, I’ve lived in five countries (six if you count Singapore for two months, and seven if you count the Turks and Caicos for one month). I’ve travelled to all the continents bar Antarctica. I’m currently living in Sydney, one of the most beautiful cities I’ve been to.
I also love to eat. One of the best parts of travel is sampling the local cuisine! They say the key to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but I say that the window to a culture’s soul is through its food. I love ferreting out cheap, local, hole-in-the-wall gems of places like Le Faubourg Montmartre, a restaurant in Nice, France, which was run by these ancient old ladies. It had the best food, the biggest portions, and the cheapest prices. If you know any more of these treasures, please let me know!
I’m now back at work and have shamefully neglected this blog. But I’m on a pretty steady project at the moment, with no wild up’s and down’s so I’m hoping to get back to blogging. I particularly enjoy writing about my travels, but since I travel mostly for work nowadays, with no time for anything but a few restaurants here and there, I guess you’ll mostly be hearing about what I’m eating!
As a freelance writer, my work can be found on Constant Content. I’m also available for custom writing assignments, so please reach out through my Facebook site below.
Thanks for stopping by,
Penne Pullen

“…writing gives me some much-needed relief…” – yes, but is there a chance to write not talking about travels?
Yes of course. It’s just one of my favourite topics 🙂 I also write about other things, for example this post on distracted driving: http://wp.me/s3hLuN-16
Hi,
That is a beautiful view. I have never been to HK but my Dad was there several times and just loved it.
Thanks for the share!
Thank you 🙂 If you ever get a chance to visit, you should. The best reason for me: It’s got some of the cheapest Michelin-starred food in the world!
Hi Penne,
You asked about cheap eats in Milan. There are a lots of cafes to choose from. We ate at Salamanteria di Parma and it was reasonable.

That’s great – thanks for the recommendation 🙂
Hi Penne… glad to connect and interact with you.
Thanks for dropping by my blog… 🙂 Best wishes to you.. !!
Thanks for dropping by mine too 🙂 Always nice to make a new friend.
Hello Penne. I like your blog. Good vibes.
Thanks, Zoe! Your comment made my day 🙂
I just realized that we both love food and travel 🙂 And although I am an Accountant, I fancy calling myself a management consultant and I wish I could focus on that.
I must say that I am rather jealous of your MBA in Paris. That must have been fantastic, not only the MBA but the fact that you finished it in Paris, while on break from work! I must find someone to pay for my MBA. Hahaha! Corporates (employers) normally pay for their management here in SA.
Haha “management consultant” sounds more fancy than it actually is!
Yeah the MBA in France was a pretty awesome experience, even if I did put on 5kg because of all the amazing bread and pastries…
I would still trade with you 😀
Haha it has its perks, but also its downsides. Like always being away from the family!
A very clever name for your blog! Interesting stuff here, I’ll enjoy browsing later.
Thanks Margaret! And thanks for stopping by 🙂
Thank you for liking my photo post. One of the photo collages is travel to Australia. Yes, we went to Sydney. Australia is a beautiful place to live! You have a nice blog here!
Yes I saw that collage in Sydney. Great shots! I do really enjoy living here. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
You’re welcome. Keep in touch!
